The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says that periodic safety and security audits on the Entebbe International Airport by the Global Regulations, is calling for more compliance. Sam Neeza, the Director for Safety, Security and Economic Regulation at CAA, notes that the International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO) audit for Africa has now been tightened. Entebbe with just 18 international airlines feeding in and out with 1.5M passengers implies that domestic operators too must marshal up their assets and competence of service, he says. He was speaking at a news conference, here in Kampala ahead of a security and safety audit on Entebbe International Airport due soon. A very exciting time for me since this was my first time arriving in Uganda after 22 years. Lived in Uganda for 3 years as a diplomat's child. The landing on South African Airways was nice and smooth. The scenery is always great since Entebbe is right by the Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa.
